Mr. Mikey

His lack of fashion sense is made up for by his reading ability.

Michael has a new found love of reading. It started at the beginning of the school year with his 'popcorn' words. Popcorn words are the sight words that are introduced in Kindergarten. They are common, everyday words that 'pop' out at you, hence the name. Michael took to these popcorn words like a fish to water and has graduated beyond, with his ability to sound out words on his own.

In this short video Michael is reading a book meant for emerging readers. It has 2-3 lines per page and lots of repetitive words. The 'Biscuit' that he refers to is the name of the dog, the main character in the book. Go ahead. Watch and be amazed.
