The news of Mikey's passing has hit the T21 Online Community 'family' very hard, as it was unexpected. There has been such a wonderful outpouring of love, symapthy, prayers and good intentions for Mikey's family from this Community. Many of these people have never met Mikey or his family, but are bound together in a larger 'family' by a single extra chromosome. Society tends to shun those with this extra chromosome, while members of this 'family' celebrate it. All around the world today prayers are said, candles are lit and tears are shed for a little boy whose earthly life was interrupted by a call home from God. This child was no less important because of his extra chromosome; one would argue that Mikey may have been so important to Him that He wanted Mikey by his side sooner, rather than later.
Whatever the case, whatever the belief, Mikey is now in the hands of our Lord and will forever be remembered by his 'family'. God speed Mikey.
