The mind of a 3 year old. Brilliant, yet slightly warped. Simple, yet complex.
If you know a child of preschool age I have no doubt you know exactly what I mean. If you don't have the pleasure of knowing a mind such as this, or possibly have forgotten, allow me to enlighten you. What follows is an excerpt from the meandering of Michael's mind.
On the way home from shopping today Michael took it upon himself to teach me Human Anatomy 101. I was informed that he breathes through his feet. This is how it was explained to me:
"The air comes in my toes and goes up my foot. Then it stops at this bump (ankle bone)...and that's my heart. My heart opens and closes. Then the air goes up my leg and through my tummy and up to my shoulder. Then it goes down my arm and through all my fingers and back up my arm. Then it goes up my neck and through my cheek and comes out my mouth."
See? Now that explains everything doesn't it?
